Why should I choose Danielle Davis?
Danielle's personal experiences shape the clients we extend our services to. Having been in a abusive marriage, and then moving into a non-monogamous marriage that was unhealthy in many ways, and now into a space of calm and peace, Danielle herself has been on many journeys that have given her experience that sits alongside her professional experience as a counsellor.
Danielle does not judge. She has been there herself, seen many things, walked in many shoes and mixed in many circles. With a deep understanding of the pain and trauma, and dis-integration of the self that can occur from these types of life experiences.
What type of counselling do you offer?
Danielle is an integrative counsellor. This means she draws upon many different therapeutic techniques to help you get the results you want and need, and suit you best, for example we can delve into the past and do inner child work, or use CBT techniques to challenge your thoughts and behaviours.
How long are the sessions?
Sessions are one hour long.
How often should I have a session?
It’s up to you. Some of our clients come once a week, some once a fortnight, and others as needed. We are flexible and can tailor a plan to your needs. If you have experienced trauma and want to work through it, we recommend more frequent sessions initially, as it will unearth feelings that need to be processed.
How will our sessions be carried out?
We are happy to use zoom, skype, teams, or facetime, whichever one of these platforms suits you best.
How do I make a payment?
You can make payments via PayPal or bank transfer. If you wish to book a block of sessions, we offer a discount for upfront payments. Please contact us for more details.
What is included outside of the session?
Outside of our sessions, we’ll provide you with reading materials, worksheets, tools, and recommendations for books, articles, and podcasts that can help you progress toward your therapy goals. However, there’s no pressure to complete them, and you won’t be quizzed on them!
What qualifications do you hold?
I hold a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Prof.Dip.Psy.C) and am an accredited member of The National Counselling Society.
